Do you offer any kind of health guarantee?
- Every puppy that leaves us will come with a health certificate from our vet. They will also have 30 days of free insurance through AKC that we provide at no additional cost to the buyers. If that insurance is not activated before your vet visit our health guarantee is voided. We guarantee puppies to be free from life-threatening congenital disorders up until puppy reaches 6 months of age. Any medical condition must be proven and documented by two licensed veterinarians at buyers expense.
- Buyer agrees to take their puppy to a licensed veterinarian for examination within 72 hours of the transfer date. The guarantee is null and void if the Buyer does not follow agreement for the vet exam.
- Breeder guarantees said puppy to be free of all communicable diseases for a period of seven (7) days from the date of transfer to Buyer. Breeder also guarantees puppy to be free from congenital disorders up until puppy is one (1) year of age. Any medical issues must be proven and documented by a licensed Veterinarian. Buyer agrees to take said puppy to a licensed veterinarian for examination within seventy-two (72) hours from date of transfer of puppy from Breeder to Buyer. Guarantee is null and void if Buyer does not follow agreement for veterinary exam. Buyer must notify breeder within forty-eight (48) hours of examination of unsatisfactory findings on puppy’s Veterinary health exam. Diagnoses from two veterinarians are required to determine puppy’s health issue if the puppy's condition is serious. Breeder will not accept any responsibility for injury, reactions to vaccines/medications, flea/tick preparations, or disorders caused by environmental factors, allergies, thyroid, or autoimmune diseases. Breeder is NOT responsible for any of the following once the puppy has left our care; parasites, worms, Giardia, Coccidia, cryptosporidium, diarrhea or other minor conditions such as bladder/urinary tract infections, ear infections and/or other changes which may occur when moving a puppy to a new home. This includes but is not limited to: mental stress, low blood sugar, or loose stool which can be caused by stress within a few hours of transport. In the unlikely event of serious illness during the first ten (10) days after transfer to Buyer, the Breeder is not responsible for medical bills beyond the purchase price of said puppy. If puppy has a serious illness during the guarantee time period, the puppy may eventually be replaced, OR there may be a possible refund of the full purchase price of puppy. Negotiation between the Buyer and Breeder will determine the appropriate course of action.

Interpretation: Molecular genetic analysis was performed for three specific mutations reported to be associated with disease in dogs. We identified two normal copies of the DNA sequences in three mutations tested. Thus, this dog is not at an increased risk for the diseases associated with these three mutations. Recommendations: No mutations were identified. Thus, this dog is not at an increased risk for the diseases caused by or associated with the mutations tested. Because this dog is "clear" of these mutations, this dog will only pass the normal genes on to its offspring. Normal results do not exclude inherited mutations not tested in these or other genes that may cause medical problems or may be passed on to offspring. Paw Print Genetics® has genetic counseling available to you at no additional charge to answer any questions about these test results, their implications and potential outcomes in breeding this dog.
